Faire of Champions

January - February

The Faire of Champions invites visitors to step into a living fantasy realm where medieval adventure, mythology, and interactive storytelling come together.  The festival sits on more than 100 wooded acres and emphasizes immersive storytelling, fantasy role-playing, and community rather than simply recreating Renaissance England. Visitors are encouraged to become part of the world, whether they arrive as a knight, fairy, Viking, pirate, wizard, or even a sci-fi character. The organizers describe it as a place where guests "forge their own legends" through quests, interactive characters, and themed adventures. Visit a realm where all are welcome to pursue their dreams!

On-site camping is available, where guests can extend the adventure with evening entertainment, campfires, guild gatherings, and after-hours festivities. With themed weekends, immersive experiences, and a strong sense of community, Faire of Champions offers an unforgettable weekend for anyone looking to escape into a world of legends.

Heartlands Renaissance Festival

Spring & Fall

The Heartlands Renaissance Festival offers a unique experience centered on the martial traditions of the Middle Ages. One of the festival's standout attractions is the Grand Tourney, where skilled combatants wield swords, axes, polearms, and shields in fierce demonstrations of medieval combat. Visitors can also watch the Heartlands Imperial Cavalry showcase the Ottoman sport of Jereed, an exciting horseback competition in which riders display remarkable horsemanship, precision, and strategy while throwing wooden javelins.

What truly sets Heartlands apart is its emphasis on tournaments and historical martial arts. In addition to the public festival, the organizers host competitive medieval sporting events where trained participants compete in armored combat and other historical disciplines. Combined with artisan vendors, live entertainment, and medieval-inspired food and drink, Heartlands delivers an authentic martial atmosphere that distinguishes it from many Renaissance festivals focused primarily on entertainment.
